Considering the release of
Stephen Davis and the
durability concerns of
DeShaun Foster, Carolina
had no choice but to
select DeAngelo
Williams at #27. He's
a game-breaking rusher who
should platoon well with
Foster before taking over
the full-time job as a
result of yet another
Foster injury. After that
selection, however, the
Panthers threw darts
wearing a blindfold. CB
Richard Marshall is a
good athlete and the
Panthers need him to fill
the Nickle role vacated by
the loss of Ricky Manning
to Chicago. Nothing to
write home about after
that selection, though
Will Montgomery was a
solid value pick in round
seven and versatile enough
performer to see action at
Center or Guard. DE
Stanley McGlover was
also a nice steal in round
seven, a tenacious
edge-rusher who
unfortunately owns a poor
attitude. |
